Wands Together
Leader of the Party (Minister for Magic): Kingsley Shacklebolt
Wands Together are the moderate party who used to fight against the pureblood extremism of the League of Emerald. They are best known for restoring order after the Second Wizarding War and promoting equality for all witches and wizards under the leadership of Kingsley Shacklebolt. They have won the last two elections but despite their popularity some people are starting to say they've been in power too long.
The party was split on the Squib Rights Bill – enough supported it to pass it, but a fair amount believe that due to their disability (as it is often referred to) squibs are better off in the muggle world.
Key Policies
- Against loosening Statute of Secrecy
- Increase recruitment for obliviators
- Keep taxes the same
- Lower budget for aurors
- Increase budget for health
Main Supporters
- Second Wizarding War veterans
- Moderate purebloods

Alohomora Party
Leader of the Party: Amethyst Jones
The Alohomora Party are a relative newcomer to the political scene, but have gained momentum at broomstick speed after championing the Squib Rights bill in 2003. Their motto "opening doors to all" is quoted frequently by their young supporters. Their key policy is to open up more dealings with muggles, in particular those who are already related to witches and wizards who are often forced to leave the muggle world behind entirely when they receive their Hogwarts letters. The Alohomora Party has recently gained the support of the British Prime Minister.
Key Policies
- Loosen Statute of Secrecy
- Increase taxes
- Increase budget for health
Main Supporters
- Younger generation
- Muggleborns
- Squibs

League of Emerald
Leader of the Party: open
The League of Emerald, as might be expected by the name, was formed by Slytherins. Most now view them as the epitome of the regime that allowed Voldemort to gain power, propped up by the money of old pureblood families with artificial, bought votes. When Wands Together tidied up regulations around party donations the League lost most of their power. They are a steadily decreasing group but with the recent muggle problems a few have started looking back to them as "the good old days".
They believe that squibs and muggles will start taking wizard jobs if they are allowed into the wizarding world (and can point to several examples of squibs already doing so since the passing of the Squib Rights Bill).
Several members of the League of Emerald are planning to show exactly how bad it would be if muggles knew about witches and wizards under the secret direction of the their leader.
Key Policies
- Tighten Statute of Secrecy
- Decrease taxes
- Reverse party donations laws
- Reverse Squib Rights bill
Main Supporters
- Ex-Slytherins
- Purebloods
