1. Posts should be 200 word minimum in 3rd person past tense. Do your best to use correct grammar and spelling.
2. Basic RP standards apply; no Mary Sues (perfect characters), no god-modding (taking control of other people's characters in your posts), no stealing, no spamming.
3. As per Proboards rules this is a PG-13 site. No mature content (use your judgement on swearing). Take it to PM or off the site please.
4. Activity rules are one IC post per character per week. If you miss this for 3 weeks you’ll receive a warning. If you miss this for 4 weeks your character will be made inactive and you’ll lose all your claims. For key canons/positions the admins will decide whether the character is put up for adoption or if something else has happened to them to explain their sudden absence. Avoid by posting in the Away board when necessary.
Accounts which have not had an application accepted will be deleted after 2 weeks without warning.
5. All characters must have reached the wizarding age of majority (seventeen). Younger characters would be at Hogwarts and that is not the focus of this board.
6. No advertising outside ad board.
7. Please add your OOC name/alias to the 'Played By' field in your profiles for each character, so it's easy to see who plays who.
8. This is more guidance than a rule, because I won't outright reject someone's application or start having words with members for this. Please refrain from using rape as a plot device, in both characters' histories and when playing on the board. Yes, it makes your characters' lives more interesting - but it's way overdone, generally not given enough thought and there are many, many other ways to add drama. See here and here for more information on why. In some cases it might be necessary, just be aware of the issues that surround writing about this.
