Nathaniel is a squib from a pureblood family who was forced into the muggle world and abandoned by his family. He was working in a muggle library when he met Draco who was hiding from the wizarding world in shame after the defeat of Voldemort. Partly by befriending, partly by blackmailing with a threat to go to the Prophet, Nathaniel convinced Draco to let him show him the real muggle world and that it wasn’t as bad as he thought.
Suffice to say he succeeded and the two became very close friends. They live in London as flatmates and since the passing of the Squib Rights Bill Nathaniel has been able to get a job at the wizarding library St. Ursicinus’. Nathaniel is one of the biggest reasons Draco has turned his life around although it is still not well known that Draco’s best friend is a squib.

I don’t really mind too much about the details for Astoria. In approx. 2-3 years she gives birth to Scorpius but at the moment Draco is not in a relationship and it’s up to you if he already knows her. He’s grown up a lot since his school years so any memory she has of him from Hogwarts would be very different to how he is now. She might know him through Gringotts or Potions Club or St. Orsicinus’ Library which he frequently visits, and soon he’ll be heading into the Ministry on Gringotts’ behalf. She needs to be someone he can grow to trust and who is open-minded in a way most Slytherins won’t be. Preferably she doesn’t run a mile when she discovers Draco is a secretive supporter of the Alohomora Party.

Lucius and Draco don't get on well anymore. They both avoided Azkaban narrowly but struggled to get jobs after the fall of Voldemort. Lucius was furious when Draco got a job in the muggle world - first at a fast food place, then at a library. As Draco got to know the muggle world he became more and more distant from his father and eventually moved out to live with his best friend, a squib. Their relationship has improved somewhat since Draco got a job at Gringotts, but mostly when Draco visits home it ends in a political argument. Draco is a secret supporter of the Alohomora Party while Lucius is deep in the League of Emerald.

Draco's relationship with his mother is better than with his father. I think she's much more open to Draco finding his own way in life. She doesn't really voice her own political opinions much but I think she's silently proud of Draco moving away from the pureblood Slytherin gang.
